Clarkson’s Farm Season Five: Everything We Know About the New Series

Clarkson's Farm Season 5 Trailer | Release Date & Everything we know!

Prime Video’s hit documentary series Clarkson’s Farm is officially returning for a fifth season, and anticipation is already building. Since its debut in 2021, the show has become one of the platform’s most successful unscripted programs, attracting millions of viewers worldwide and transforming Jeremy Clarkson’s once-quiet Oxfordshire farm into a national tourist attraction.

With production on Season Five now complete, fans are eager to know what lies ahead for Diddly Squat Farm and its eclectic cast. Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming season—including storylines, cast updates, and when viewers can expect it to drop.

A New Year, New Challenges: What Season Five Will Focus On

As with previous seasons, the fifth instalment of Clarkson’s Farm will continue documenting the real-life events unfolding at Clarkson’s 1,000-acre property in Chadlington near Chipping Norton. Cameras have been rolling throughout the most recent farming year, capturing both triumphs and setbacks.

One of the most significant events expected to feature prominently is the devastating outbreak of Bovine Tuberculosis (TB) at the farm. In late July, Clarkson confirmed the news publicly, writing on X:

“Bad news from Diddly Squat. We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated.”

He later clarified that the outbreak involved Bovine TB, which affects cattle but poses no risk to humans. The disease forced the farm to cull multiple cows—a heavy emotional and financial blow that will likely be one of the main story arcs of the season.

Also returning to the spotlight will be Clarkson’s new business venture, The Farmer’s Dog, the Cotswolds pub he purchased for around £1m and reopened in August 2024. The upcoming episodes are expected to show the pub’s turbulent first year, capturing the challenges of launching and running a rural business under the scrutiny of both locals and global fans.

Will Kaleb Cooper Return?

Fan favourite Kaleb Cooper, widely considered the heart and comedic soul of the show, will indeed be returning for Season Five.

Some fans expressed concern after it was announced that the 27-year-old farmhand is filming his own four-part travel series, Kaleb: Down Under, in Australia. The new show follows Cooper as he explores international farming methods on his first-ever trip abroad.

However, viewers can relax—Season Five of Clarkson’s Farm wrapped filming before Cooper left for Australia. This means he will feature throughout the upcoming instalment, continuing his no-nonsense mentorship (and often exasperated commentary) as he attempts to keep Clarkson in line.

Will Harriet Cowan Make a Return?

Another standout from the latest season was Harriet Cowan, the 24-year-old Derbyshire farm worker who stepped in while Kaleb was away. Her grounded personality and quick wit made her an instant hit with viewers.

Cowan departed midway through Season Four once Cooper returned, and her future on the show remains uncertain. Speaking on BBC Breakfast, she shared:

“We’ve always left it very open. I’m here if he needs me, but no plans at the minute. If he needs me, I’m here.”

While Prime Video has not confirmed her involvement, her popularity leaves the door wide open for a potential return—whether in Season Five or beyond.

When Will Season Five Be Released?

Although Prime Video has not yet issued an official release date, fans have some clues. Jeremy Clarkson confirmed at the end of September that filming had finished, writing simply:

“Season 5. It’s a wrap.”

The series is currently in post-production, a process that can take several months. Based on previous seasons, a likely release window is late spring 2026. Seasons Three and Four both premiered between May and June, and Prime Video appears to favour a similar timetable.

If Season Five follows past patterns, it is expected to contain eight episodes—matching the format of all previous instalments. Prime Video is also likely to release the season in batches or weekly drops, a strategy used to build momentum during Season Four.

Is Season Five the End of the Show?

Season Five is widely expected to be the final instalment—for now. Clarkson has hinted repeatedly that both cast and crew need a break after five years of near-continuous filming.

“Whatever happens, we’ll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out,” Clarkson said earlier this year. “We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”

The 65-year-old did not completely rule out a future Season Six but made clear that any continuation would require a compelling reason to return and a well-rested production team.

In the meantime, Clarkson will continue hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? for ITV and developing his projects at Diddly Squat Farm and his Cotswolds pub.

A Show That Transformed Oxfordshire—and Farming TV

Since its launch, Clarkson’s Farm has reshaped public perceptions of British farming. While humorous and often chaotic, the series has shone a spotlight on the hardships facing UK farmers, from rising costs to regulatory battles.

The show’s popularity has also created a tourism surge in the region, with thousands flocking weekly to Diddly Squat Farm Shop, eager to catch a glimpse of Clarkson, Kaleb, or other cast members.

With Season Five now on the horizon, fans can expect more humour, more heart, and more hard-hitting realities of modern agriculture. Whether it marks the end of the journey or just a pause, the new season promises to deliver the signature mix of chaos and charm that made the show a global phenomenon.
